Job Description:
The Lodge at Schroon Lake is actively seeking a fun and creative Recreation Manager to join our team! We are looking for a leader with a positive attitude to direct, coordinate, promote and manage the Lodge's recreational activities.
Tucked in the Adirondacks our new resort featuring 116 guest rooms, elevated farm-to-table dining, recreational complex and marina, and over 13,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Pay rate is: $45,000
Essential Functions:
Assist with all activities and the successful execution of all onsite guest activities and recreational programming, including but not limited to outdoor sports, mini-golf, kid’s program, and marina/lakefront rentals and activities.
Assist in development of seasonal activities and programs for all guests.
Keep all workspaces organized and clean, including sports equipment, lakefront furniture, and other operating equipment.
Understand and enforce all safety regulations for the lakefront beach.
Assist guests with watercraft rentals, including accepting payment and scheduling use of watercraft.
Provide life jackets to all guests renting watercrafts as needed.
Ensure all guests are greeted properly and assisted with any recreational activities.
Sell sunscreen, water, snacks or other related retail items to guests using the resort’s POS system.
Be familiar with all activities and recreational offerings at The Lodge at Schroon Lake, including understanding the rules of games and sports offered.
Ensure all operating and retail inventories are kept stocked and orderly at the lakefront and on the Recreation Complex.
Keep any retail areas clean and stocked with appropriate inventory.
Ensure all recreational equipment is kept clean, organized and in good working order.
Fully understand POS system used for activities and maintain related equipment.
Multitask (sometimes in a fast paced or high stress environment).
Endure physical activities in all weather conditions.
Experience and Skills:
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
Ability to remain standing for up to 10 hours, or 100% of shift.
Ability to frequently move and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to walk the property and grounds frequently.
Ability to move up and down stairs regularly.
Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel frequently and repetitively during a shift.
Ability to use repetitive manual dexterity.
Ability to move quickly based on guest needs.
Ability to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information effectively.
Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
Must have valid driver’s license.
