MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following qualification(s) MUST be met and clearly detailed on the application form on or before the last filing date: EITHER
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or Business Management;
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Business Management and TWO (2) YEARS full time paid experience in maintaining financial records and accounts, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Degree must have been awarded by a college or university by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the US Department of Education/US Secretary of Education.

DUTIES:
The work involves responsibility for planning, assigning and supervising major account keeping activities and/or independently performing difficult and responsible account keeping functions.
The work is performed under general direction of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of (City Hall), or Library Director (SSPL), with considerable leeway allowed for the use of independent judgment for carrying out the details of the work in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Supervision may be exercised over the work of all subordinates.
