Chemistry Lab Teaching Assistant-Student Employment (Workstudy Eligibility Preferred)

Chemistry TAs must have taken and demonstrated competence in the chemistry lab in a previous course.
They must be reliable and have patience and good communications skills.
The Chemistry Lab TAs helps students succeed in labs by guiding students and helping them find answers to their questions.
The TA also demonstrates lab techniques and explains equipment and chemical usage.
In the fall 2023 semester, the TA must be able to work one or the other of the Thursdays Chemistry 1 labs, 9-11:50 am or 2-4:50 pm.
Chemistry TAs must have taken and demonstrated competence in the Chemistry 1 lab previously (and Chem 2 for being a TA for Chem 2).
They must be reliable and have patience and good communications skills.
The Chemistry Lab TAs helps students succeed in labs by guiding students and helping them find answers to their questions.
The TA also demonstrates lab techniques and explains equipment and chemical usage.
The TA may also assist the lab instructor with lab set-up and clean-up and other duties as needed.
During the first week of the semester for safety and other training.
