The Assistant/Associate Dean of Student Affairs for Inclusion and Engagement is a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team and reports directly to the AVP for the Residential Experience.
The Assistant/Associate Dean will provide strategic vision and leadership for Campus Life and Engagement (CL&E) to provide engagement opportunities for students that enhance their residential experience.
The Assistant/Associate Dean will supervise the areas and directors of Leadership Activities, Religious and Spiritual Life and Student Diversity and Equity.
The Assistant/Associate Dean will champion diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives on behalf of and within the Student Affairs Division.
They will manage fiscal resources and personnel to implement sustainable CL&E initiatives that meet institutional/division goals and will collaborate with Academic Affairs colleagues and other campus partners to support these efforts and to integrate them into other dimensions of the Skidmore college student experience.
Will also connect with Skidmore colleagues and Saratoga Springs community leaders, business professionals and others to support Skidmore's town-gown relationship with the City of Saratoga Springs.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field with at least seven years of experience in higher education.
Achievement in supervising, mentoring, coaching and supporting the professional development of direct and indirect reports
Demonstrated leadership in the areas of strategic planning, program development and assessment
Strong DEI background
Ability to multi-task and designate accordingly
Ability to direct and motivate a team
Ability to build positive and effective relationships across the campus and community
Experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies of program assessment and evaluation
Pay Range: $85,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience
