Tax Specialist - Partnerships & Corporations

Independent multi-family office providing technical expertise in tax, estate planning and wealth management for a select group of clientele.
As a Tax Associate, you will directly support the client advising team through a variety of year-round, tax centered projects.
In addition, you will prepare returns and corresponding workpapers for partnership and foundation tax returns.
Training will be given to provide exposure to all types of tax returns.
*Associate Responsibilities:* * Prepare tax returns with varying levels of complexity, along with supporting workpapers * Ability to efficiently review 1065 and 1120 returns that are extremely complex * Compile tax reconciliations and prepare financial statements * Maintain communication with teams on outstanding issues throughout the year * Collaborate with fellow associates on creating efficiencies within processes and procedures * Assist with creating and updating company-wide templates for completion of tax returns * Stay informed with the ever-changing Federal and state tax law *Qualifications:* * Bachelor degree required * CPA or Masters in Taxation a plus * Excellent organizational skills as well as deadline-conscious * Strong communicator coupled with active listening abilities * Ability to maneuver through a variety of tasks while maintaining attention to detail * Critical thinking skills to analyze tax effects of different client scenarios * Self-motivated to complete tasks upon receiving technical guidance * Computer skills in Excel and GoSystems (strongly preferred) * Experience in all types of returns not required for consideration Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience level: * 2 years Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
